The Hidden Gem was built from a deep respect for the earth, not just as a place where rocks are found, but as a living archive of time, pressure, beauty, and memory.
Shane’s story begins in Landstuhl, Germany, then moves across oceans to Hawaiʻi, where care for the land becomes a way of life. That belief became part of the shop’s foundation.
Sophie’s Persian and Armenian heritage adds another layer: ancient stonework, craftsmanship, trade, beauty, and objects that carry memory across generations.
