So... what exactly is rockhounding?

Rockhounding is the search for rocks, minerals, fossils, crystals, gemstones, and geological wonders hiding in plain sight. Every creek, mountain, desert, beach, and hillside has a story waiting to be uncovered.

You don't need expensive equipment. You don't need a geology degree. You just need curiosity... and maybe a stronger back after carrying home "just one more rock."

Around here, we believe every specimen has a story.
